The grandparents were welcomed to our school hall, to be entertained by our talented school choir. The choir are partaking in ‘Peace Proms’ this Sunday and so they sang a collection of the songs that they have been preparing.
After the performance, grandparents were then treated to tea and treats. We would like to thank the members of the P.T.A who helped to serve tea/coffee.
The grandparents were then given a St. Brigid’s Cross, made by 6th Class pupils, as a small token of our appreciation for their constant support and kindness. They then had an opportunity to visit their grandchildren in their classrooms.
We felt truly honoured to welcome such special people into our school today. We hope they enjoyed their morning as much as we did!
‘By our side or far apart,
Grandparents are always in our hearts!’
