Wellbeing
Wellbeing in Allen NS
The New Primary Curriculum Framework places emphasis on teaching and learning to foster understanding of wellbeing, an appreciation for how wellbeing impacts lifelong learning and the knowledge and skills to ensure children are equipped and motivated to foster and promote their own wellbeing.
Children’s wellbeing can be defined as their physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social health. The Curriculum identifies two subjects as being particularly important in promoting pupil health – Physical Education (PE) and Social, Personal and Health Education (SPHE).
Here you will find information relating to some of the initiatives we have and are introducing to support our pupils on their individual journeys to developing their understandings and competencies around their personal wellbeing.
